Koeltehof Packers is a packing and distribution plant on the Koeltehuis Farm in Kiepersol, Mpumalanga. Having specialised in the avocado industry for many generations, and having a small avocado orchard ourselves, we are proud to be experts on the needs of avocado growers and the process involved in the packing and logistics of these fine fruit.

Footprint

Acquired and re-established by the Khoza Family Trust in 2008, Koeltehof Packers services avocado growers, distributors and exporters from Hazyview, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

Technology

The packhouse facility at Koeltehof Packers underwent a major upgrade and expansion from 2015 to 2016. We now have dedicated hands-on management and seasonal capacity for 225 tonnes per 9-hour shift (4950 tonnes a month) – more than double our previous capacity.

This is due to the implementation of our state-of-the-art bin tipper, grading system, pack line, high-technology cooling facility, and forced high-humidity coolers that ensure the best possible moisture retention for longer shelf life. *** Pro Cooling?
